Video Clips from young people at the end of their Connecting Cultures journey

The 2008 DHL Connecting Cultures programme saw 35 young people from a variety of European and Arab countries spend five days together in the desert and moutains of Oman in an effort to promote cultural understanding and break down stereotypes. On the following video clips they summarise some of their discussions.

How do we feel our cultures are misunderstood?
How I feel my culture is misunderstood by others? What are the causes of and solutions to extremism in our society?
What we think are the causes of and solutions to extremism in our respective societies. What are the causes of misunderstanding? Why we think cultures misunderstand each other.
What can be done to reduce cultural misunderstanding? What are the key things we have discovered about each others cultures during the last 5 days? What are the core values we share across cultures, and our vision for the world in 2020.
